What Voveran SR 100 Tablet is used for

• Arthritis, spondylitis and gout pain
• Muscle sprains and sports injuries
• Back pain and frozen shoulder
• Period pain
• Pain after dental or minor surgery

How it works

Diclofenac inhibits the COX enzymes and so reduces the prostaglandins that cause pain, fever and inflammation. Applied to the skin as a gel it acts mainly at the painful joint or muscle.

Common side effects

• Stomach upset, acidity, nausea
• Diarrhoea
• Headache and dizziness
• Skin irritation or burning where the gel is applied

Most side effects are mild and settle as your body adjusts. Tell your doctor if any of them persist or trouble you.

Quick tips

• The gel form carries far less risk than tablets — for a local sprain or joint pain, ask whether the gel will do
• Take tablets after food and drink plenty of water
• Avoid if you have had a heart attack, stroke, or a stomach ulcer
