What Pregabid M 100mg Tablet is used for
- Nerve pain from diabetes, shingles or a slipped disc
- Fibromyalgia
- Epilepsy (add-on treatment)
- Generalised anxiety disorder
How it works
Pregabalin binds to calcium channels on over-excited nerve endings and reduces the release of the chemicals that carry pain signals, calming nerve pain and seizure activity.
Common side effects
- Drowsiness and dizziness
- Weight gain
- Swelling of the ankles
- Blurred vision
- Difficulty concentrating
Most side effects are mild and settle as your body adjusts. Tell your doctor if any of them persist or trouble you.

- Dependence and withdrawal can occur — it is a controlled medicine in many countries
- Breathing can be dangerously depressed if combined with opioids or sedatives
