What Losar-H Tablet is used for

• High blood pressure
• Diabetic kidney disease
• Reduction of stroke risk in heart enlargement
• High blood pressure with raised uric acid
• High blood pressure, usually combined with another agent
• Mild fluid retention
• Prevention of calcium kidney stones

How it works

Losartan

Losartan blocks the angiotensin II receptor so blood vessels stay relaxed. It also increases the excretion of uric acid, which is useful in people with gout.

Hydrochlorothiazide

Hydrochlorothiazide makes the kidney excrete more salt and water, which reduces blood volume and, over time, relaxes the blood vessels.

• Raised uric acid and blood sugar
