How it works

Gabapentin

Gabapentin quietens over-active nerve signalling by binding to calcium channels on nerve endings, reducing both seizure activity and nerve pain.

Nortriptyline

Nortriptyline increases noradrenaline and serotonin signalling. It causes less sedation and dry mouth than amitriptyline.
