What Cilacar T 80 Tablet is used for

How it works

Cilnidipine

Cilnidipine relaxes the arteries like other calcium blockers, but it also acts on the nerve endings that constrict blood vessels, which is why it causes less ankle swelling and less reflex fast heartbeat.

Telmisartan

Telmisartan blocks the receptor for angiotensin II, the hormone that tightens blood vessels. The vessels relax, blood pressure falls and the strain on the heart and kidneys is reduced.

• Headache
• Flushing
• Dizziness
• Ankle swelling (less than with amlodipine)
• Dizziness, especially with the first doses
• Tiredness
• Back or joint pain
• Raised potassium

• Take at the same time daily
• Do not stop suddenly
• Take it at the same time each day; it works over 24 hours
